As the UW Foundation’s director of corporate engagement, Angela Ver Ploeg connects industry with opportunities to collaborate with the University of Wyoming.
Her passion is facilitating relationships that connect people and companies with UW in meaningful ways. One of her favorite things is to bring people to campus for the first time—or back to campus, if they haven’t visited in a while. It’s inspiring to see through their eyes UW’s extraordinary faculty, students, facilities, and research and to discuss partnerships that are mutually beneficial. That’s what corporate engagement is all about.
Previously, Angela served as the UW Foundation director of development representing the College of Business, where she partnered with the dean on a $3.5 million capital project for the new Peter M. and Paula Green Johnson Student Success Center, among other initiatives. She also served as director of development for the College of Health Sciences and the UW Art Museum.
Originally from San Jose, California, Angela has called Wyoming home since 2004 when she came to UW to earn her bachelor’s in psychology. Angela and her husband have two kids and a golden retriever named Bogey. She loves the outdoors and makes it a point to stay active.
