Bailey DeSoto manages initiatives that support industry engagement, partnership development, and strategic collaboration at the University of Wyoming.
In her role, Bailey leads efforts that support the development and growth of mutually beneficial partnerships with public- and private-sector companies while also helping expand private support from foundations. She oversees project management and operations for the Office of Industry and Strategic Partnerships, including tracking engagement data and supporting strategic initiatives. Bailey finds the most rewarding part of her work in seeing new ideas emerge through research, education, and outreach. She values that every partnership brings unique opportunities that benefit both campus and industry.
Originally from Fresno, California, Bailey earned her degree in agricultural business from California State University, Fresno. She also brings eight years of accounting and finance experience to the OISP team.
Bailey joined the UW Foundation in 2024, where she has prioritized creativity, dedication, and collaboration in her work. She is proud to call Laramie home and values the strong sense of community it provides for her, her son, and their dog. Outside of work, Bailey enjoys spending time with friends, exploring the outdoors, and taking road trips.
